Czechia's homes in numbers
Every day Bytky counts the asking prices and rents of the flats on offer across Czechia. This page turns those counts into plain answers: how many years of pay a flat costs in each region, how much floor space a budget buys in each district, and how Prague changes along the metro and out from the centre.
Start with the two players below: put in your own pay or budget and the loops redraw themselves around it. Further down, every loop is a short video, free to download and share.

Where the figures come from
Every figure on this page comes from the homes on Bytky and from official statistics, never from a guess.
- Prices and rents are the asking figures of the flats for sale and to rent on Bytky, counted every day. A median needs at least 20 flats.
- Pay is the Czech Statistical Office's median gross monthly pay by region for 2025. It isn't published by district, so the districts are set against rent instead.
- Years of rent divide a flat's median asking price per m² by a year of its median asking rent per m², before charges.
- Asking prices, not sale prices: what sellers and landlords ask, which is what you see when you look.
